Licensing EIS

If you launch a standalone ProFicient application (for example, SPC Manufacturing Intelligence, Dynamic Scheduler, Quality Event Dashboard, etc.) prior to licensing it, the application automatically opens the InfinityQS License Utility, allowing you to immediately register it. Using the License Utility, you can manage InfinityQS application registration and licensing, allowing you to clear locked licenses, register InfinityQS applications, and track the licenses with the workstations utilizing them.

NOTE: ProFicient services (DMS, DCS, EIS, RAMS, and REMS) will NOT automatically open the InfinityQS License Utility, and must be registered manually prior to use.

Registering Applications

1. In the Windows start menu, launch InfinityQS | InfinityQS License Utility.

2. In the License Utility, click the desired application, and then click the Register Application button.

   NOTE: If the License Utility prompts you for registration information, type or verify your User Name and Company Name, and then click the OK button.

3. In the Registration dialog box, click the desired registration radio button, click the OK button, and then configure the selection, as follows:

   • Register Evaluation Copy

     This allows you to request or install an evaluation key. You will then be able to open, configure, and run the application for the evaluation period (for example, thirty days) after installation. After the evaluation period, the program will no longer open or run.

     1. Click the Install Evaluation Key button, browse to and click the IIEVAL.KEY file, and then click the Open button.

        NOTE: If you do not have an evaluation key, click the Request Key Online button. On the evaluation license page, fill out and submit the evaluation license form.

     2. Click the OK button.
   • Register Purchased Copy

     This allows you to register your purchased copy for unrestricted use. Type the registration number included with your installation package. You can locate the registration number in the Product Information section on the first page of the End User License Agreement (EULA).

     1. In the Registration Number data field, type your registration number and click the OK button.

        NOTE:

        If you do not have your registration number, do the following:

        1. Click the Request Support Online button.

        2. On the Support page, click the Licensing link.

        3. On the Licensing page, locate the Permanent Licenses section, click the link and then fill out and submit the form.

     2. In the License Number dialog box, click the www.infinityqs.com/license.html button, and then type the following:

        • Your Name: Your Name
        • Phone Number: Your Phone Number
        • Email Address: Your E-mail Address
        • Re-type Email Address: Retype Your E-mail Address

        Click the Submit Information button.

     3. In the Application Information page, type or verify the following:

        • Access Code: Access Code from the EULA
        • Registration #: Software Registration Number
        • Installation #: Installation Number

        Click the Get License Number button.

     4. In your email box, locate the email from InfinityQS Licensing Center, which includes the Registration #, Install #, and License #, and then return to the License Number dialog box.
     5. In the Product License No. data field, type your product license number, and then click the OK button.
   • Continue without Registering

     This allows you to open, configure, and run the standalone ProFicient application (for example, SPC Manufacturing Intelligence, Dynamic Scheduler, Quality Event Dashboard, etc.) for seven days after the first time you start it. After seven days, the application will no longer open or run.

     NOTE: The Continue without Registering option does not work with ProFicient services (DMS, DCS, EIS, RAMS, and REMS).

     1. Click the OK button.

     2. Continue to use the standalone ProFicient application for seven days.

4. Click the Close button.

Changing Registration Numbers

Using the InfinityQS License Utility, you can change the number of concurrent users or slots.

1. In the Windows start menu, launch InfinityQS | InfinityQS License Utility.

2. In the License Utility, click the application entry under License, press and hold the CTRL key, and then click the Register Application button.

3. To register the selected application, please see Register Purchased Copy.
4. Click the Close button.

Clearing License Slots

In a multi-user environment, you may need to manually clear a licensing slot.

NOTE: Alternatively, you can close an application to clear a licensing slot. The application must be completely closed, and not simply signed out.

1. In the License Utility, click the desired application, and then click the Clear Active Users button.

   • Single Computer. If an application is licensed on one computer, the License Utility clears the licensing slot.

   • Multiple Computers. If an application is licensed on multiple computers, click the desired computer and then click the Clear button.

     NOTE: To clear all licenses, click the Clear All button in the Clear Active Users dialog box.

2. Click the Close button.
